When gathering the goods for this design, contrast and balance seemed to be key: the vibrant hues of the faceted jade beads felt best tempered by tiny faceted black crystal beads, and the richly-sparkling rhinestones of the vintage flower brooch become brightened by their dark, japanned settings.
